Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026. A plain-language draft — not legal advice.

The agreement

These terms govern your use of Tangent, a product of Tangent Studio. By using the service you agree to them. This is a plain-language draft and does not constitute legal advice.

What Tangent does — and doesn’t

Tangent drafts outreach and content and organizes your marketing pipeline. It is human-in-the-loop by design: nothing is sent, posted, or published without an explicit approval action by you or your team. The AI proposes; a human disposes. You are responsible for what you approve.

Your responsibilities

  • Use the service lawfully, and only contact people you may lawfully contact.
  • Comply with anti-spam law (e.g. CASL, CAN-SPAM) and the terms of any account you connect (Google, Meta).
  • Keep your credentials secure and ensure your team’s approvals reflect your intent.
  • Provide accurate sender identity and a valid physical mailing address for compliant email.

Connected accounts

You may connect accounts such as Gmail, Meta, and Instagram. You grant Tangent permission to act on your behalf only for actions you approve in the app. You can disconnect at any time, which revokes that access. Your accounts remain yours.

Availability & changes

Some capabilities are labelled “rolling out” and are still in development; we tag what is live and what is not, and we do not bill a rolling-out capability as shipped. We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be communicated.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is”. Because you approve everything that ships, you are responsible for your outbound communications. To the extent permitted by law, Tangent Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
